Sizing:
For slip on house and martingale collars, please measure AROUND the widest part of your dog’s neck and the widest part of his/her head. Use the largest of the 2 measurements to select your size. I add a little extra for ear slip, but if you are ordering for a puppy, select current neck/head size and leave a message for growing room at checkout. I make every collar to order, if you leave your dog’s measurements on checkout, I can make it to measure.
If you don’t have a measure or you’re unsure on size, please send a message, I can advise a size from a few questions.
Slip on collars are a popular choice with sighthound owners, but I can add a plastic side release safety clip at no extra charge for those who prefer. Available on House Id Collars only. Please leave a message in the checkout box.
Dispatch Times
I make these to order and usually dispatch within 2-3 working days. I send Royal Mail 2nd Class included in the price.
If you would like your order sending out 1st class, please select express/1st class delivery at checkout £1.00.
House Collar or Martingale?
The House ID Collar Is ideal for those who walk their hound in a harness and just need a stylish, comfortable collar to hang an ID tag. A House Collar is not recommended for lead walking sighthounds due to their narrow heads. If you lead walk using a collar, I recommend a Martingale Collar for increased safety and to avoid your hound slipping his/her collar.
A Martingale Collar is a type of collar that provides more control without the choking effect of a slip lead. The martingale collar was designed for sighthounds because their necks are often larger than their heads and they can slip out of standard buckle/house collars.
A martingale collar is made with an extra loop. The larger loop is slipped onto the dog’s neck and a lead is then clipped to the D ring on the smaller loop. When the dog drops his head to sniff or puts tension on the lead, the small loop reduces closing the collar bars, preventing escape (If properly fitted).
A Reducer Martingale is a 1.5" neck piece and a 1" martingale loop (ideal for smaller necks to reduce collar bulk)
If you need fitting advice, send me a message. A martingale collar fitted correctly will be comfortably loose whenever the dog or human are not pulling against the lead. It is recommended that you remove your hound’s martingale collar when unsupervised.
Any questions? Not sure which type of collar? What size to select? I am always happy to help and respond to messages quickly, ask away!

Collar Care
Whilst HAND WASHING is best to prolong the life of your collar, if necessary, these collars can be washed on a 30-degree cycle in a padded wash bag or sock to protect the hardware. Use a gentle cleansing agent, stroke and smooth back in to shape and air dry somewhere warm (DO NOT TUMBLE DRY). Please remember to check stitching and hardware after washing for safety
